Pronunciation of "pitying"

Hi

I would like to know the pronunciations of "pitying" and "pities". Should there be "tea" in both words or just "ting" and "tiz"?

The 'tea sound' is used in pitying, but it's duration here is much shorter than in the word tea itself.
