According to the dictionary i have, the words 'new' and 'news' are pronounced like 'nu:' and 'nu:z' in American English. But i realize on VOA that they're pronounced like 'nju:' and 'nju:z' in British English. So can everybody here explain this situation to me? Maybe i've made a mistake.
