Pronunciation of "mysterious"

Hi

Would your native ears cringe if the word "mysterious" was pronounced with the yellow part exactly like "tea"?

It happens in my neck of the woods all the time: Words like eliminate (lee), married (ree) and so on and on.

Thanks,

Tom

Mysterious [tea] sounds a bit affected to me. Eliminate [lee] sounds just plain wrong. Married [ree]: I've never heard it pronounced any other way.

Many thanks, Philip!

Married: isn't it "rid"? Or "reed"? Please confirm.

Sorry I wasn't clear. This is the only way I've ever heard it pronounced. It's a secondary stress, but clearly [ree].
