Pronunciation of 'lose'

"I need to lose some weights."

I know the pronunciation of lose is [lu:z], but I just hear it like [lu:s] even in dictionaries below.

Could you check this out please? What do you think?

Thank you so much as usual and have a good day.

I never hear that in California. [lu:s] is the pronunciation of "loose", which makes it a very different meaning.

Thank you so much and I agree with you but did you hear it in those dictionaries I linked? I still hear [-s] but it might be because I am not a native English speaker. What do you think and hear? Is there a [-s] or [-z] in the dictionaries?
