it's pronounced like the second ending.

I'm sure that it is pronounced in several ways, depending on the region, etc, but the transcription would still be /ri:d/, I think.

Thefreedictionary.com says the word "hurried" and "married" for USA and UK accents. For USA they are HER-eed and MARE-eed, but for UK they are Huh-rid and MARE-id.
