Speech & Pronunciation

Pronunciation: "I'm going to" like "imunna"?

I've been noticing that when some people pronounce "I'm going to" (or I'm gonna), they tend to say it like "imunna (something like "I muh-nuh").

For example:
Imunna go to the store.
Imunna go to bed now.

Is that a regional thing, or some sort of slang, or just a common thing to say?

Thank you!

Possibly. I knew a woman from the Philadelphia area who claimed that everyone around there said "Ahmunna", as she did. "Imunna" is a less severely distorted variant of the original, and possibly more widespread. I hear both here in California, but only rarely.
