Pronunciation : Better than a









I like a dog better than a cat.
He is taller than his brother.
He has read fewer books than I have.
I like apples rather than oranges.

Would you please tell me if my pronunciation is understanable?
I have a pronunciaiton book saying that "better than a " can be pronunced " better an a" without th sound, when it's pronunced fast, so I practiced like that.

So, was my pronunciation a disaster? Should I stop practicing it?

I would certainly not try to practice reductions that native speakers develop only after becoming fluent in the language: it just sounds muddled. Work on standard pronunciation, relax, and enjoy communicating.
