How are the word shaped in linking words ?I read on it, but still confused . I see contradiction between disappearances of final consonant and alteration .

1-for instance, "blind man",and"old man" would be pronounced "blimb man"or"blin man","olb man" or "ol man",and what rules goes first and applied :rules of disappearances of final consonant or alteration ?

2-Does the all the final consonants disappear when it lies between two consonants or only" t" and "d" sounds?
