I seem to recall from somewhere that raising the short u (luck) to a short oo (look)is characteristic of the Liverpool area, but there may be other areas where the same phenomenon is heard.
"good luck" is thus /?g?d 'l?k/ rather than the standard /?g?d 'l?k/.
