i really love British accent. but sometimes i find it hard to understand what they are saying. is it normal?

It may be easier to understand people who have learnt English as a second language since they space their words out with gaps. When we speak, we may well run all the words together as if a whole sentence is a single word As well as speaking quickly, we may not give much distinction to important words because they're obvious to us since we know all possibilities in the language, but they may not be so obvious to someone for whom it's a second language.
