pronouns(two same gender) usage

This meal was first made for tom by his school friend when he(tom) visited him(tom's school friend) on his(tom's school friend) birthday and now Tom is preparing the same meal for him(tom's friend).

I would like to know whether I've used the pronouns in a proper way or not.

Please help me.

Thanks

Wonder123 I would like to know whether I've used the pronouns in a proper way or not. Yes, but you have not used the proper nouns correctly. People would not naturally say or write this kind of sentence because it is too ambiguous.

Can you please help me rewrite the sentence, that would make sense for the people who learn the sentence.

Tom's school friend, on the occasion of his birthday, first made this meal for Tom when he came to visit and now Tom is reciprocating by making the same meal for his friend.
