Is this another pronoun that is always single?How come we say is it okay if he came along?  Came is the past tense of come and it hasn't happened yet.

both are used but what's the difference.

Is it OK if he comes along? -- You're asking permission concerning an event that has not yet happened. You probably have already made some plans to ask him to come along.

Would it be OK if he came along? -- Also asking permission concerning an event that has not yet happened. In this case, it's less certain that he might come along. Only the possibility that he might come along is being considered.

Is it OK if he came along? -- A bit unusual. You're asking if someone approves of the fact that he came along (already -- in the past). A more likely wording is: Is it OK (with you) that he came along? (He came along. Is that acceptable to you?)
