Pronounciation of the name Cyanne

Dear me, I wouldn't choose a name for my child that I was not already familiar with in all its meanings, uses and pronunciations!

I would guess on looking at the word-- /,sai 'æn/.

However, it is a combination of the names Cyril and Anne, so that would make it /,si: 'æn/.

Cyan is a colour between blue and green. If your daughter's eyes are this colour then Cyanne (as the feminine name) may be good - or you may have other reasons why you like this colour

I may be thinking a bit backwards, but I think I would choose the name (incuding pronunciation) and then pick the spelling that most closely resembles that, for the ease of others to pronounce it.

It's not surprising that there is a discussion about the pronunciation. Cyanne is not exactly the most common of names.
