Pronounciation of "Palm"

Hi teachers,

I pronounce Palm, P-al-m (as in "al-ways"). Is it correct? Does your tougue move slight toward the upper front teeth?

Could you check this link and see if it's correct in pronounciation? Thanks

Sorry, my sound is down. I've always pronounced it and heard it pronounced "pahm." The tongue never advances at all, but remains down and back, as when saying "ahh."

I confess that I've heard some US native speakers play with the "l," but my family never did. It may be a regional thing. For us, the "l" was always completely silent.

I am sorry for the misunderstanding of "My sound is down". I didn't know what you meant until now.

You have two hs in "ahh", do you mean a long ah?
