Indeed, Daniel Jones gives only the version with the stress on the first syllable. The authoritative Oxford English Dictionary, however, suggests two parallel versions ( 'm?nde?n, m?n'de?n ), while New Oxford American Dictionary has only [?m?n'dan], which means that the first syllable receives secondary stress.
