Pronounce the "t' in English?

People told me to brush my teeth against my gum ridge to pronounce a "t".
1) Where exactly is the gum ridge behind my teeth?
2) This is my first guess. I put it between the place where gum and teeth meet right behind the front teeth. But you have to curly your teeth and it doesn't sound like a "T"?

Belly This is my first guess. I put it between the place where gum and teeth meet right behind the front teeth. Try a little higher.

Try to pronounce it with the tip of your tongue. It's a very sharp sound, and this holds true for
the 's' and 'p' as well. Try to aspirate it a bit too. That is, inserting a voiceless H-like sound, a slight puff of air after the 't'.
