Pronounce "Livesey" from Treasure Island

Directing Treasure Island, and trying to determine the accurate British pronunciation from the mid-1800s of Dr. Livesey. Is it effectively two syllables: like LIVE-zee; or is it three: LIV-eh-see, or something else?

In the movie version it's pronounced: "LIVV-eh-see."
