pronounce -ed ?

How can I pronounce the past tense regular verbs in the right way? eg:opened, walked, scared, etc

For those three you mentioned (and indeed for most English verbs), it's just a matter of pronouncing the verb as you usually would, but with an extra letter "d" at the end of the present participle - open'd, walk'd, scare'd . ) You might be tempted to add a new syllable ("open-ED"), but as I reminded the girl I befriended , this urge should be restricted unless your verb ends in a "d" or "t". In that case, you pronounce the new ending "id" (as in "lid", or "naked").
