Promise me

I've heard it at the movie It's called get rich or die tryin'
Between mon and her boy

Mom;Promise me that you gonna treat girls right
Son;All right mom

As for my quesiton Could mom have said like this
Promise me you to treat girls right

I guess if mom said like up Would it be a mistake sentence?

Why did you think an infinitive, "to treat," would work there?
