Hi, I have kind understood the meaning of 'profound' but still not clear to use it.

In the following example,

/*

e.g.

My father's guidance, experience, and positive mentality have influenced me profoundly.

*/

Does 'profoundly' have the meaning of 'greatly or deeply' here?

Also when someone say something like 'Michael Jackson influenced me to become a singer', does that mean 'made me/changed me to become a singer?'

Thanks in advance.
