Profiles in Courage

Hi everyone,

I refer to the famous book by John F. Kennedy, Profiles in Courage.

I have always wondered about the title. "Profile" here I take to mean "a biographical account". In that case, wouldn't it be more grammatical to call it Profiles of Courage? Admittedly that doesn't quite have the same ring to it. So is this an example of style eclipsing grammar?

Thanks in advance!
