Proficiency Certificate

Hello!

Please, I have a doubt and I hope you could help me. Can a person who has just finished his English course, but doesn't have any of the most common and required certificates (as the one above) yet, neither a diploma from a language and literature college, but that is totally fluent and besides, it's graduated in teaching profession (for kindergarten and elementary school) with a university diploma in a different area, as well as presents great skill to teach and deal with people from different ages and levels; teach in a free course, I mean, in a language course? And a course that accepts such person to teach not as a teacher, but as a language instructor for one, after confirming his competence through oral and written exams; would be infringing any rule or law?

As I know that perhaps, concerning to this matter, the rules or laws can vary from country to country so please consider it as in case of Brazil. (Actually I have already looked for this kind of information at internet, but all was in vain.)

Best regards,

Juarez

Hello!

No. I 'm asking it because a friend of mine would like to work under those circumstances, till he has financial conditions to course a language and literature college . I'd be grateful to receive a reply about it to answer my friend.

I don't know about the legal situation in Brazil, but there is nothing to stop him contacting colleges and language schools to see if they ever employ non-qualified staff.
