''Professionally'' ?

Dear Everyone,

Do you, native speakers of English, use the word professionally to say that someone did something on an expert level and very well, in an excellent way?

I did find this meaning in the dictionary, too, but I wonder if you have that in mind when you see it, or you'll think simply that the person is a professional of the area of life in which he acted.

Thank you!
