Hi, I am looking for the standard agreed-upon format for writing numbers in, say, a memo or a C.V. At which point do you stop writing out, for example, "twelve" and make it "12?" Thanks again.

There is no fixed rule about this. Styles vary. Using words for numbers up to ten is reasonable.

There are exceptions where you usually use numerals whatever the number (e.g. with unit symbols, or in technical contexts).
