Hi,
Can I use the definite article 'a' in front of almost any product names to refer to its singularity? I am not sure I have named the following product name correctly but I think I did.

He asked for a tube of ChapStick.
Instead of this, could I?
He asked for a ChapStick.

I think you can, for the most part.

Yes, with all drink brands. e.g. I'll have a Budweiser.

Yes, with candy bars. I'd like a Snickers.

But this only works, of course, with individually packaged items.

It doesn't seem correct when talking about medicine brands. I need a bottle of Nyquil.
