Process Story

what does "process story" mean? I think it's a news related jargon.

I think it's good this guy's talking. He doesn't know anything. The process story won't last as long.

I can end a process story and correct the record at the same time.

A, it will get folded into our news cycle when we want it to ourselves. B, it will give the pro-lifers something to scream about. And C, it'll look like the campaign screwed up, so the press'll write a process story instead of writing about our issues.

Right. From surfing the web I gather it's all the newsy gossip about a campaign (what's going on, what they're doing) other than "the issues" ( A believes in / proposes this, B believes in / proposes that.)
