'Proceed' or 'go ahead'

Hi,

I just want to know the usage differences of the following two words:

1) Proceed : 'Please proceed with the proposed project's name"

2) Go Ahead: 'Please go ahead with the proposed project's name"

Which one is more correct and generally used?

Regards,

Sumit Singh
