Procedures

I think you have some jobs you need to apply to a public office.
(e.g. passport renewal, divorce application)
Do you say Public office application? What do you say?

Top answer

Speaking from Canada, public offices are places where civic business is transacted, such as licence applications. Applications, in my experience, are identified by their purpose. A driver licence application, a licence to marry, or a passport application would be used.

Thank you!
I'm translating a noun phrase and listing various jobs people have to do.
People have to a public office to submit any application, record, or procedure necessary for their construction work. So I mean they have an application that they have to submit to a public office. And 'visiting a public office' is included in the list.

To renew one’s driving license/licence one must visit the automobile licensing office in that province/state. To obtain a marriage license, a couple must apply at City Hall. For a Canadian passport application, one must present supporting documents at a federal passport office. Each licensing situation is governed by either municipal, provincial, or federal regulations and at different location
