problems of idioms and accents

may I ask if native speakers speak idioms frequently? if so, does it mean that they could understand whichever idioms I have spoken to them ? or is it awkward for me to use them ?

another question is that ... I am really in love with particular accent very much and I hope I could learn it, would the native speakers of that accent find it offensive or obnoxious ? I really hope that I could speak like them and become native-like

I like British accent very much and I hope that I could sound like them ...
But for me , it's quite a tough task to achieve and I am still finding ways to further improve my accent ... ..

Don't worry. If you are living surrounded by native speakers, you will gradually start to pick it all up.

It may seem like that to outsiders like you, but I assure you that nobody thinks you're pretentious when you speak just like they do — or when you try to, at least.
