Problem

Hi! I am not sure if I should put a/an in this kind of sentences. Could you help me?

It was the force of (a) habit

Top answer

It was the force of (a) habit I don't know what 'kind of sentence' you are thinking of. ' Force of habit ' is a fixed idiom. You cannot change it by adding 'a' or 'the'.

Thank you! I mean sentences like „A little of (a/an)” if the noun is countable.
