I have a problem ..in fact not just a problem ..a major one ...so : it goes like this , i want to study abroad ..and i'm still a high school student graduating this summer...i did all they asked me for ..but i've received an e-mail saying that i should take some extra courses in mathematics...'cause i don't have the amount of lectures required( my high school profile is in humanities and social sciences so it's quite normal that i don't have much lectures in math) ...not to mention that i have my own educational system and they have their own, for instance: the high school in my country takes 4 years while in denmark takes just 3 and the duration of an hour is 50 minutes while there is 60 minutes....anyways there is 0 courses in mathematics in my town...and now that i tried as hard as i could to find one but still haven't found any, i have to explain the whole situation, so someone pleaseeeee help me out with this ... so here it is what i have in mind :
Dear Madam/Sir,
I am sorry for my late e-mail.
I have searched for a math course along with the Headmaster of my high school, who's also a math teacher and other math teachers from some good private high schools. However, despite their help and efforts, I regret saying that there is no accredited Institution that has training courses in mathematics other than the officially and known lectures provided by the Ministry of Education and Research, ordinary lectures that appear in the educational Curriculum for each level : from primary and secondary to higher education.
In other words,I can only take some informal, fully private tutoring hours during summer break. Although I did my best in searching for a math course, however still not finding any, I have to ask you Madam/Sir what you suggest I should do in order to fulfil this requirement,is there any other possibilities for me ?
Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Feel free to correct or to add something ...I appreciate your help...thanks
