I am having trouble understanding the following sentence because of this word "probative" - can someone help?
"A decision must be based upon logically probative material and not mere speculation"
Why the words "logically probative material" instead of say "evidence". I can't find the word "probative" in the dictionary, not the ones I looked in that is..
