Pro rata

This is a bad example but is it correct to say "reimburse me pro rata"?

Sinice I only used the membership for 6 months and took a one year membership. Could you reimburse me pro rata?

Could you reimburse me pro rata?

I can't imagine anyone actually saying this.

More natural English is eg Can I get a refund for the 6 months I didn't come to the gym, please?
