Private Tutoring & Price?

What is generally considered a reasonable price to charge for private language lessons? I've been looking on the internet but I can't find anything that displays prices.

Well, that depends on where you're going to be teaching. In Korea, a 1 to 1 class would cost the student around $30 an hour, in Bangkok around $15-20, in the US and Australia, $50-$100. What you can charge would also depend on your qualifications and the ability of the student to pay.

  • In the Philippines, most of my students are Japanese expats and diplomats, so they can afford to pay up to $40.
