I think they are a bit sick. All they do is portray people in conflict situations. They teach people that conflict is normal, and that conflict and mean behaviour is to be expected - it is NOT to be expected! I do not watch any of these horrible American (other countries make them too, but America makes by far the most) shows anymore. Thankfully the internet allows us to find much healthier things to watch and do.

The brain is like a computer. It makes decisions using the available data. We have to be careful what data we allow into our brains. If all the data upon which we make decisions is conflict-slanted, then is it any surprise that our decisions will be conflict slanted?

Conflict sucks!

Huh,... Though I have abstained from this conflict drama **** for a while, I still find myself in conflict from time to time. I guess it takes a while for the bad data to get superceded. :-)

I try harder and harder, every day, to avoid this ****.

I haven't watch Prison Break but I've just finished season 1 of Heroes. I think the storyline is great to make you crave for more.

I do not think these two series "sick or ****" as I tend to appreciate fine and quality entertainment (in terms of production and acting).

I do not think they directly "teach" people to assume conflict and mean behavior as a norm,

It is the people who watch it are being numbed by the storyline of conflict, thus they are not aware or become less sensitive when conflict happens in reality.

Conflict sucks? In reality,yes! In entertainment content making, not so true.

Conflict sells! Conflict always form the backbone of a story, which then translated to the forms of video and audio entertainment on TV.

I cannot deny entirely of what you have said about our brain and conflict slanted decision. Yet, drama's not the only factors. One have to judge on decision by the dividuals maturity ,believes, environment, and other factors too.

Prison break is one of my favourite shows.Its scenario is very fluent and exciting.In spite of it is based on very familiar story it has lots of interesting aspects.Even you know what happen at the end you have to wait whole seasons due to its fastmoving script.I also give you characteristic information.I really like these people they are good at playing role.Here some of them:
