I googled for scorch mark, it seems right to what I was looking for, just for narrowing down the choices, I'll try to narrow down the choices:
Like we go to a barbecue, we're preparing to leave and distingulish the fire, there would have left blacken mark on the rocks where held the fire, what do you call it? Doesn't scorch mark more likely be created of firing bullets?- Te

I'd call that a scorch mark too, where the rocks have been blackened, but backwoodsmen may well have another word. Firing bullets nearby produces powder burns.
