I don't understand the meaning of 'enabling' variable too.I posted the question in another thread, but I got no useful answer.

"Enabling" variable means that it is variable with a positive (enabling) effect. When that variable is higher, the result will tend to be be higher.

If these factors are more positive:
productivity, commitment, motivation, satisfaction, innovation, flexibility, personal development, and plant image
then the success of the business would likely be higher also.
