I read the book several years ago and love the story so much that I could not help watching the film as soon as it was on. The film was great but I believe that it is the story moves me rather than the acting performance. They just not ruin it, which is to some extend a success.

This is my mini-review of P&P3 (third version):

Well, if you're looking for a faithful portrayal of the novel, you'll come away disappointed. The heroine is too pert, the hero too plain, the important scenes too short, and the ending too rushed. The last 30 minutes is a mad dash towards the finishing line -- where the hero and heroine kisses (hey, that's not in the book!).

Oh, I love this book, and I like the BBC mini-series version the best (who doesn't? Colin Firth! Yum!) but I did enjoy the Kiera Knightly one too.

If you liked this book, you will probably enjoy Sense & Sensibility as well. I really enjoyed the movie version that Emma Thompson did. (I absolutely love Alan Rickman and enjoyed seeing him play a good guy for once.)

I watched the movie (S&S) and read the book. Don't like it as much as P&P. Elinor Dashwood is too "prudent" to be a likeable character, if this makes any sense. (Lizzy Bennet has glaring flaws, but they make her more human.)

I like Persuasion too. The heroine is one in a thousand.

Which Mr. Darcy are you referring to? (I'd be happy to go out on a date with any one of them, haha)

Matthew MacFadyen is the actor.

I think Emma, Mansfield Park and Persuasion are better novel
