Price of vs price for?

Which one is correct? i can see both are used quite often. If both can be used, what's the difference between these two?

They are very similar and can often be used interchangeably, but there are also differences. Price for something is likely to be how much a person will or needs to pay. Price of something can be the same, but also can mean how much was paid.
