Grammar

price and adj.

Their prices are usually very good.
Their prices are usually very low.
Their prices are usually very expensive.
Their prices are usually very high.
Their prices are usually very cheap.
Which sentence has wrong grammar?

Top answer

They are all grammatically correct, and they would still be even if you used the adjective poisonous . But this is a question of what is appropriate, and I don’t think it’s appropriate to describe a price as being cheap or expensive ; reserve those for items that are being sold. Good can be OK, but I prefer more specific words like high, low, unreasonable, fair, exorbitant , etc.
