Hello, would you please take a look at these sentences? I think "previously undiscovered" means "which is not discovered in the past", is this right?

• The expedition will use remote sensing technologies, including sidescan and multibeam sonar systems, to try to locate previously undiscovered WWII shipwrecks. The researchers will also use an advanced remotely operated vehicle to take high-definition photographs and videos of these shipwrecks.
