Vocabulary

"pretty little thing"--does it mean anything in particular here?

"Saw the ghost of Elvis
On Union Avenue
Followed him up to the gates of Graceland
Then I watched him walk right through

Now security they did not see him
They just hovered 'round his tomb
But there's a pretty little thing, waiting for the king
Down in the Jungle Room"

Marc Cohn "Walking in Memphis": http://www.metrolyrics.com/walking-in-memphis-lyrics-marc-cohn.html

So does the expression "pretty little thing" mean/suggest something concrete? Or it's just an unknown thing waiting for Elvis?

I think it means only something waiting for him but never states what is it, besides, I think they chose the word thing because rhymes with King.

I considered a woman as well. From Webster: "informal— used for a person, animal, or object that causes strong feelings of affection or dislike in you", "She's a pretty little thing, isn't she!"
