Presumtion of innocence.

Could you tell me if this content is coherent as to be used when trying to defend someone's reputation or human rights?

As fas as I know, the accused/suspect is only in provisional detention; The case is still under investigation, and no judge nor jury have proven or pronounced him guilty yet.I know he was charged with murder, but in this modern society, everybody is innocent until proven guilty. He has been accused of killing her wife; I know, but no one has proven the fact so far. Remember this "presumption of innocense is part of our inalienable human rights".

Thanks a lot for your reply. Just one more question- is the change in "but no one has proven the fact" for " but no one has been able to prove it" a matter of style,or does the first one simply sound incorrect in English?

your correction sounds completely correct to me ,by the way!
