Hi,
Can I use 'pressure' instead of 'stress' in these sentences below?

1.stress-related diseases such as heart disease.

2.He's under lots of stress because his wife is very ill.

3.I think his headaches are caused by stress.

4.Yoga is excellent for relieving/reducing stress.

Can I use 'stress' instead of' pressure' in these sentences below?

5.I'd like to help out, but I really haven't got time--pressure of work, you know!

6.the pressures of modern life

7.He works best under pressure.

8.He has never had enough time to sleep because of the pressure of schoolwork.

9.The pressure on doctors is increasing steadily.

What is the difference in meaning between them if possible?

Stress is a feeling or emotional response to pressure (and perhaps other things.) You can be pressured or feel pressured but that feeling can not cause pressure, it causes stress. A situation that causes stress can be called stressfull.

Could you explain why 'stress' is not good here because the example is from the dictionary?
