Based on the design problem, I envisaged three options to resolve it.
The first option was to change the air conditioning unit from cassette type to duct type.
Another option was that the units should be all constructed from non-combustible materials which were specified in the circular letter.
Removal of the units from the design was the final option due to air conditioning as a non-essential demand in the lobby, having a reduction of cooling energy use as well as energy saving.
