"Present yourself" is this right?

Can this phrase be used if I want to mean "put yourself in order by, for example, doing your hair, getting good clothes on in oder to look good."

"present yourself" is correct, but for your meaning it would normally be accompanied by an appropriate adverb or adverb phrase, e.g. "present yourself well", "present yourself in a professional manner", etc.

I wouldn't say it that way. I'd say "make yourself look presentable". But that's just for looking adequate. For looking spectacular, I'd say "get all dressed up". (AmE)
