Present tense(urgent)

I am a teacher in Mexico.

A student asked me what tenses is suitable in the following context.

She faces/is facing a herculean task of bringing up 4 children single-handedly.

I told him to use the present continuous tense because it is temporary.

However, he said the present tense is also right. That's what I am doubting.

I said I will give him an answer tomorrow. Is he right? Thank you.

Yes, that is one of the criteria native speakers naturally use in selecting the tense.
