Grammar

present simple/continuous

Hello,
could you help me, please?

I know that when we are writing a postcard we can use the present simple or the present continuous tense (the present continuous is preferable), eg.
We are having a great time. We are swimming in the sea, sunbathing and going sightseeing.
We are having a great time. We swim in the sea, sunbathe, go sightseeing.

If I use the expression 'every time' must I change the tense into the present simple?
Every day we swim in the sea, sunbathe, go sightseeing

or the present continuous would work as well (I still mean writing a postcard)

Thank you for your help.
Kind regards.

Anonymous If I use the expression 'every time' You cannot use that phrase there. Anonymous Every day we swim in the sea, sunbathe, go sightseeing That is OK, however. Continuous would not sound as good as simple.
