Present Simple

Hello,
could you help, please? Can we use the Present Simple instead of the Present Continuous in such a sentence:

The Smiths are coming round tonight!
The Smiths come round tonight! (as usual; they visit us every Friday)

Thank you for your help.
Regards.

For "visit" use come around. You may use the simple present for the ongoing general state of things, but that clashes with the specific instance of tonight. "
