Present progressive(future intend) in a time clause

Could the present progressive be used after 'when' when it implies a future event and why?

e.g.When I am relaxing on the beach next week, I'll be thinking of you guys hard at work in the office.

Hi, Could the present progressive be used after 'when' when it implies a future event Yes and why? Why not? ( I assume you have no problem with using Simpe Present here, eg When I see Tom tomorrow, I will tell him the news.

Hi,

Yes. If you have two actions happening in the future simultaneously, you're allowed to use the present

progressive to describe them within the time clause.

For example: While I'm drawing this picture, you'll try to imitate my movements.

While I'm relaxing on the beach, I'll be thinking of you.
